With all of the factors that are impacting our hobby today, one could ask the logical question: How do I afford to race a car during times like these?It’s an obvious question. Folks are losing their jobs, there is economic uncertainty, and no one really knows what will happen tomorrow. Still, if you’re like me, you can’t keep yourself from thinking about high performance cars... all the time. And, unfortunately leads to racing.I can’t help but think about all of the advantages that those of you who dedicate themselves to MOMS Racing have. First, we offer a safe alternative to street racing. This has been the one constant theme at MOMS racing -since 1994.Second, we give you a chance to meet like minded people who will become members of your inner circle. Seriously, ask anyone who has raced MOMS for a few seasons- their closest friends also have a Mustang, dig making it fast, and have found heads-up racing a natural fit.Third, MOMS Racing is your local heads-up event. No need to travel all over the country - race in upstate NY. We have always encouraged our racers to make a leap to the next level, but pick your spot. Try a local NMCA event when it comes to Atco, for example.Fourth, MOMS offers you an easy class structure, Got a Mustang? We’ve got a class for you at MOMS! It doesn’t matter what you’ve done to your Mustang., we’ll find a home for you at MOMS - and give you a heads-up race that you’ll never forget. The MOMS Racing rules have always been about as easy going as they could be. Sure, you might have to buy a new set of tires to step up to the D/R Limited class, but that’s nothing like the tight set of rules you’ll find at other sanctioning bodies.Fifth, and most important of all - MOMS Racing gives you a place to enjoy your car. I’ve always loved street car drag racing because it looks like a car show in motion. The MOMS Racing racers take incredible pride in their rides, and you’ll be amazed at what hot rodders’ ingenuity can do for these full-equipped street cars.As 2012 continues to define the future of the automotive industry, make sure that you give MOMS Racing a shot.
